Public Outreach and Publications
As an educator and astronomer, I have always been passionate about public outreach, and the dissemination of accurate and interesting information about our world. My previous volunteer positions, and my recent publications in the academic literature are an extension of that passion.
Palmerston North AStronomical Society
I was an active member of PNAS for several years until 2016, during which I co-wrote and edited their monthly newsletter, and curated their website. From 2014 to 2016, I had the privilege of serving as President of the society.
Public Outreach
Also while President of the Palmerston North Astronomical Society, I organised public outreach evenings at the Manawatu Observatory to promote astronomy, and gave presentations and radio interviews on astronomy, two of which are available in the buttons on the right.
Publications
I have co-authored three academic papers. The first was a result of the research I carried out for my MSc, and the second and third have been during my PhD.
